From: Dejected of Deal
Q. My stories keep getting rejected. What advice can you offer to help me deal with this?
A. Dear Dejected. What I'm not going to tell you is 'Pull yourself together and get on with it'. That doesn't really help when you are
feeling so low. What I have done is to look up some websites that deal with this very problem. Some are funny, some are serious, but all will
help you to 'renew your mind' and begin to see those rejection slips in a different light. Please give it a try.
The Rejection Collection http://www.rejectioncollection.com/
"The writers and artists on-line source for misery, commiseration and inspiration." A funny and heartening website that's lets us
know we are not alone in the rejection stakes. Read about other writers rejection experiences and maybe yours won't seem so bad.
"Read My Rejection Letters" http://www.dangutman.com/pages/rejection.html
Dan Gutman wrote "Honus and Me" in the winter of 1993. It was the story of a boy who finds the most valuable baseball card in the
world, a 1909 Honus Wagner. It took him 3 years to get it publsihed and on his site he publishers the many letters of rejection he received. An
amazing story.

A collection of ideas that were rejected but which went on to become huge successes.
"Why Did My Story Get Rejected?" http://mzbworks.home.att.net/why.htm
Excellent article by Marion Zimmer Bradley on why writers' stories are rejected and what they should do about it. Some great
down-to-eath wisdom for all writers. Recommended read.
