Dejected of
Deal
Question:
My stories keep getting rejected. What advice can you
offer to help me deal with this?
Answer:
Dear
Dejected,
What I'm not going to tell you is 'Pull
yourself together and get on with it'. That doesn't really help
when you are feeling so low. What I have done is to look up
some websites that deal with this very problem. Some are funny,
some are serious, but all will help you to 'renew your mind'
and begin to see those rejection slips in a different light.
Please give it a try.
"Read My Rejection
Letters"

Dan Gutman wrote "Honus and Me" in the
winter of 1993. It was the story of a boy who finds the most
valuable baseball card in the world, a 1909 Honus Wagner. It
took him 3 years to get it publsihed and on his site he
publishers the many letters of rejection he received. An
amazing story.

should do about it. Some great down-to-eath wisdom for all
