  • “The Home of America’s Leading Short-Fiction Mystery Magazines”. Not strictly research, but an interesting link to Ellery Queen’s Mystery Magazine and Alfred Hitchcock’s Mystery Magazine.
  • Facts and figures on many aspects of most countries of the world. Includes a host of information on geography, people, government, economy, communications, military and such like. A boon to non-fiction writers, but immensely useful for fiction writers too. You can download a free copy of the book but be warned: it's a whopping 48MB ZIP file which, when extracted, is HUGE!.
